OCD and eating disorders often co-occur and often present with overlapping symptoms regarding the presentation and functional relationships between symptoms. As such, an OCD therapist will likely come into contact with patients with eating and weight issues that could be OCD or an eating disorder. This webinar will begin by reviewing the DSM-5 eating disorders, then explore the overlap between the clinical features of these disorders and OCD. Assessment strategies to differentiate these disorders will be reviewed and finally, practical strategies for treating patients with both disorders will be offered.
