The Hoarding Disorder SIG is dedicated to promoting knowledge sharing of resources, best practices, and current research for Hoarding Disorder for professionals, people with lived experience and the public, with the goal of improving access to effective and compassionate treatment and care.

Accomplishments:

  • Raising awareness about hoarding disorder and promoting knowledge sharing of resources and best practices.

Initiatives:

  • Increase awareness of hoarding disorder, best practices, and current research.

  • Build on and contribute to an inclusive community of individuals with lived experience, professionals, and researchers to promote collaboration and support.

  • Disseminate evidence-based treatment protocols to assist professionals and those with lived-experience.

Planned Activities:

  • -Build a collaborative hub with hoarding disorder. professionals, researchers and those with lived experience.

  • Hold SIG meeting at Annual OCD Conference.

  • Create a means of communication within the group to share and collaborate.

  • Use our website as a hub for resources for the public and professionals.
