While the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from meeting in person for the 2020 Annual OCD Conference, it also provided us with the opportunity to expand our conference programming into the virtual sphere.

Now, we are thrilled to offer a variety of events to encourage accessibility both in person and virtually. We are encouraging the global network of providers, educators, and people with lived experience to join us in community, collaboration, and education. Mark your calendars, and stay tuned for more information! Please note dates are subject to change depending on WHO regulations.

"The Annual OCD Conference is not just educational, but also an opportunity for professionals to connect, those living with OCD to know they are not alone, and loved ones and caregivers to get support. It is nothing short of life-changing for all those who attend."
— Robin Zasio, PsyD, LCSW

"Most important to me was the ability to obtain practical options for working on family issues from the experts. I also liked the multi-generational programming and the atmosphere of hope."
— 2019 Conference Attendee

"My favorite part of the Conference is the feeling it gives you being in a place where you are surrounded by people who just get it. I also love the spark of motivation that the conference gives me to continue working on ERP."
— 2019 Conference Attendee

"Having my 11 year old son meet kids just like him and playing non-stop because he saw they were normal kids like him with a "mental glitch". He came home from the conference asking if he should tell his friends about his OCD 🙂 This is why we came and so happy we did. In addition, meeting parents and being able to openly talk about OCD with others who understand was incredible."
— 2019 Conference Attendee

"One of the things I appreciate so much about the Annual OCD Conference is that I get to connect with other professionals who are passionate about the unique and rewarding work we do as OCD specialists."
— Jon Hershfield, MFT

"My favorite part of the Conference was seeing my loved one in tears after attending a support group, where for the first time, validation was received from others experiencing the same things."
— 2019 Conference attendee

8th Annual Hoarding Meeting

Thursday, July 8th–Saturday, July 10th, 2021
New York Marriott Marquis
New York, NY

This “conference within a conference” offers an opportunity for a wide range of professionals in the hoarding community — from therapists to firefighters, housing inspectors, and other city officials — to learn how to most effectively and compassionately work with individuals with HD. Professionals will hear from leading researchers and experts in the field and will walk away with new understanding and practical strategies for working with those affected by HD.

The Annual Hoarding Meeting also provides critical information to individuals, families, and loved ones affected by hoarding disorder (HD), with the goal of improving access to effective and compassionate treatment and care.
The Meeting spans three days, including a full-day training for professionals who work with hoarding disorder on Thursday, two full days of presentations on Friday and Saturday, as well as evening support groups for those with HD as well as their family members and supporters.

Online Research Symposium: A Hybrid Event

Friday, July 8th
New York Marriott Marquis
New York, NY

The goal of the OCD Research Symposium is to provide a forum for high-level discussion of research topics among people who specialize in the study of OCD and related disorders. The IOCDF Research Symposium grew out of the popular regional New England OCD Research Symposium (NERS), originally created by Dr. Christopher Pittenger and co-sponsored by Yale University and the International OCD Foundation. In an effort to expand the reach of this invaluable research forum, we began offering the symposium as a Pre-Conference event in 2016.

Now in its 7th year, the Symposium is intended as a complement to the “Research to Clinical Practice” track for researchers who attend the Annual OCD Conference. The Research Symposium brings researchers together from around the world to discuss their findings, fostering increased collaboration and networking across research groups. This is in contrast to the “Research to Clinical Practice” track, where research findings are presented to a mixed audience of researchers, therapists, and consumers who are interested in advanced level topics. It is our hope that these complementary offerings will make the Annual OCD Conference a truly enriching experience for OCD and related disorders researchers.
