Narrative of Services:

I provide brief, online, symptom-focused treatment in a confidential and supportive environment. I design a treatment program to meet the specific therapeutic needs of each person. Our sessions focus on understanding how OCD works, and how you take control back from the disorder. We will create your personal program of recovery that will include the most effective ways to help you let go of your obsessions and the best strategies to gain control over your compulsions. I also provide a large free self-help site at www.anxieties.com.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I treat panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, specific phobia and generalized anxiety disorder with cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Training Description:

I am a psychologist with 35 years experience working with OCD. In 1991 I co-authored with Dr. Edna Foa the first-ever self-help book on exposure and response prevention (ERP), “Stop Obsessing: How to Overcome Your Obsessions and Compulsions.” Other books include “Quiet Your OCD Brain: A Game-Changing Metacognitive Workbook to Defeat Obsessions and Compulsions” and “Stopping the Noise in Your Head.” My online self-help course is called “OCD and the 6-Moment Game: Strategies and Tactics.” I am Founding Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) & Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
