Narrative of Services:

Dr. Olivardia is a Lecturer at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Associate at McLean Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of ADHD, OCD, Skin Picking Disorder and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), as well as eating disorders and body image problems in boys and men. He sees many patients with OCD who also have one of the above co-occurring conditions. He co-authored “The Adonis Complex”, the first book of its kind detailing male body image issues. He currently serves on the Professional and Scientific Advisory Boards for Children and Adults with ADHD, The Attention Deficit Disorder Association and ADDitude.

Dr. Olivardia has been treating patients with OCD, BDD, and Skin Picking Disorder for over 25 years since his internship at McLean Hospital, where his major rotation was at the OCD Institute. He also led a group for patients with BDD at the OCDI from 1999 – 2013.
