Narrative of Services:
The majority of clients I see have a diagnosis of OCD (between 55-70% of total clients at any given time).
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
In addition to OCD, I also specialize in working with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety and relational trauma. My primary modality for treating these co-occurring issues is a combination of ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
Training Description:
I have been treating OCD clients since 2021 and consider it my primary specialty. As a licensed clinical social work associate, I received supervision from someone who also specialized in OCD treatment. As a fully licensed clinician, I seek out OCD-specific continuing education courses and trainings on a regular basis.
Diversity Statement:
We live in a world where systems deeply impact our ability to access the care and support we need to thrive. I am committed both personally and professionally to practice from a place of cultural humility and radical inclusivity. I see the world from the perspective of a cis, white, heterosexual, mostly able-bodied woman with chronic pain. I recognize that it is my responsibility to unlearn the systems of oppression from which I have benefitted and been impacted by in order to better understand the perspectives and lived experiences of the folks with whom I work.
As a social worker and former educator, I have both training and experience working with populations that have systematically experienced marginalization. I received extensive cultural humility training, both in my graduate school and as a teacher. I am also trained in Restorative Justice practices, am LGBTQIA+-affirming, and welcome humans of all races and sizes.
