Narrative of Services:
As a therapist for 20 years, I work with adults struggling with OCD, anxiety, and panic. I’m a licensed clinical social worker in both Delaware and Maryland and provide virtual therapy for adults residing throughout these states, in addition to seeing clients in person at my Delaware office. I’m trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, as well as CBT and EMDR therapies.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
At times, the stress response of trauma can worsen OCD symptoms. With extensive experience in the treatment of PTSD, I often use EMDR as an evidence-based therapy method to directly address the symptoms related to recent or past traumatic events. Doing so can help “clear the path” for ERP being even more effective in addressing OCD.
Training Description:
I received a Master of Social Work degree from Delaware State University in 2005. I trained in OCD and ERP therapy with NOCD, Cognitive Behavior Institute, and NICABM while always continuing to advance my training to benefit the clients I help. I also have lived experience as a parent of a child with OCD and the success of ERP therapy.
