Narrative of Services:

I work specifically with body-focused repetitive behaviors like hair pulling and skin picking. My entire private practice is dedicated to this specialty. OCD is often a co-occurring disorder.

Training Description:

I have specialized in treating body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), including hair pulling and skin picking, since 2015. My experience includes leading a BFRB treatment group at the Berkeley CBT Clinic, providing individual BFRB treatment in clinical and private practice settings, and presenting and teaching on BFRB treatment. My private practice is dedicated to the treatment of BFRBs, and I am an active professional member of the TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors.

Diversity Statement:

My work is grounded in liberatory and decolonial frameworks, with attention to each person’s cultural context, identities, history, and lived experience. My clinical training has included working with people from a wide range of racial, cultural, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual identities across community mental health, VA, and private practice settings. My dissertation examined the intersection of the mental health field and carceral system, with a focus on cultural competency and abolitionist principles. I’m committed to ongoing learning and self-reflection around how systems of oppression and inequities in mental health care affect the people I work with.
