I have extensive experience diagnosing and treating individuals with OCD using exposure and response prevention (ERP) and related disorders, largely in the context of practicing as a psychologist in primary care.
We would collaboratively discuss and decide on prioritization of treatment targets.
I have had a clinical interest in OCD for the past 25 years or so, and have pursued numerous workshops, sought consultation from colleagues, regularly consumed relevant research literature, and continue to do so. I am also a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, which has been an excellent source of OCD-related knowledge for me. OCD has been a clinical focus for me for the past 8 years or so.
I work to maintain culutural humility and seek out education as needed.
My institutional work provides me the opportunities to serve individuals from a variety of culutural and identities, and this is an ongoing opporunity for learning. I have electively taken various workshops and attended lectures relating to different cultures and diversity factors and recognize that these are only a part of the larger picture.
