Rooted in Recovery- OCD Treatment Group
Description:
Finding Your Roots: Growing a Life Bigger Than OCD is a structured, therapist-led treatment group for adults ages 18 and older who experience OCD symptoms.
Using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and values-based strategies, participants will learn to recognize the OCD cycle, identify visible and mental compulsions, respond differently to intrusive thoughts, increase their willingness to experience uncertainty, and gradually approach situations OCD has restricted.
Sessions include education, guided exercises, supportive discussion, and a participant workbook. The group also addresses reassurance seeking, avoidance, family accommodation, setbacks, maintaining ERP, and building a meaningful life beyond OCD. Participants are never required to disclose the specific content of intrusive thoughts or share more than feels appropriate.
A brief consultation is required before enrollment to determine whether the group is an appropriate fit. The upcoming group begins Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
