Narrative of Services:

Buckingham Advanced Psychiatry is an interventional psychiatry practice in Doylestown, PA offering BrainsWay Deep TMS, including the H7 coil FDA-cleared for OCD in adults. Every patient first receives a psychiatric evaluation by Dr. Buinewicz to confirm diagnosis and candidacy. Treatment is a course of daily sessions over about six weeks, delivered by trained staff under physician supervision. Medication management and ERP are available at our sister practice, Buckingham Psychiatry (private-pay), in the same building, or we coordinate with patients’ existing providers. We accept select commercial insurance; coverage depends on each patient’s plan and treatment history. Spravato is also offered.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Deep TMS is also offered for major depressive disorder, including anxious depression, which frequently co-occurs with OCD. Off-label, self-pay TMS is available for bipolar depression and PTSD after individual assessment. Co-occurring ADHD, anxiety, and substance use disorders are evaluated at the initial consultation. Ongoing medication management and psychotherapy, including ERP, are available at our sister practice, Buckingham Psychiatry, so TMS fits within a comprehensive treatment plan.

Training Description:

Double board-certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. MD from Sidney Kimmel Medical College; psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where I supervise psychiatry residents. I personally evaluate every TMS candidate and supervise all Deep TMS treatments delivered in our office. My clinical focus includes OCD, treatment-resistant depression, and adult ADHD. I also provide medication management for OCD at our affiliated outpatient practice, Buckingham Psychiatry, where ERP is available with a staff psychologist.

Diversity Statement:

My training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia involved caring for patients across a wide range of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. As Medical Director of a community behavioral health agency in Bucks County, I continue to serve community members with limited access to care. My addiction psychiatry background has shaped a nonjudgmental, stigma-conscious approach. Our practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I pay close attention to how identity, culture, faith, and family context shape how OCD presents, particularly scrupulosity and identity-related themes, so treatment fits the person rather than a template.
