Throughout my 17-year career in clinical and educational settings, I have remained deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive environment for every individual I serve. True therapeutic and educational growth occurs when a clinician acknowledges, respects, and values the unique cultural backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences of their clients.
My dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion is profoundly shaped by my extensive experience working across the lifespan with broad and varied populations, including individuals with disabilities and those navigating complex life transitions. A foundational pillar of my multicultural practice stems from the years I spent living and working in rural Alaska, serving Native Alaskan communities as a licensed school counselor. This immersive experience instilled in me a deep reverence for indigenous traditions, community-centric healing, and the specific historical and systemic factors that impact indigenous mental health and wellness.
