Aldaz & Vega Psicología is a reference center in Zaragoza (Spain) specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and the obsessive spectrum, with more than 30 years of accumulated experience in this field and more than 15 years as a clinical center. It is directed by Jose Antonio Aldaz Armendariz, a Specialist Psychologist in Clinical Psychology and a leading expert in OCD and anxiety, together with Norwin Alberto Vega Talavera, co-director specialized in OCD, both licensed by the Professional Psychology Association of Aragon (COPPA). The center works under a rigorous clinical practice model, with updated, evidence-based, and ethical approaches centered on patient well-being, offering close, personalized care and a firm therapeutic commitment. The methodology is mainly based on cognitive-behavioral techniques and, specifically for OCD, on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), through a structured process in four phases: initial contact, assessment, individualized treatment plan, and ongoing support. Approximately 90% of patients treated present OCD or related disorders. In addition to OCD, the center treats agoraphobia, anxiety, and stress, also offering intensive programs and supervision/practical training to other psychologists and master’s degree students. Patients are seen from ages 11 to 70, both in-person and online, in Spanish (Jose Antonio Aldaz also provides therapy in English).

Treatment of Co-occurring Conditions:

Treatment of concurrent disorders is integrated into each patient’s individualized treatment plan. When comorbid conditions such as depression or other significant difficulties are present, these are addressed first in order to stabilize the patient, since OCD-focused exposure work is only effective once sufficient stability has been achieved. Cognitive-behavioral techniques are used, adapted to each disorder, with continuous follow-up and adjustment of the plan according to clinical progress.
