Flourishing Future Wellness is an outpatient telehealth group practice serving adults in Michigan and Pennsylvania. We provide individual and couples therapy for OCD, trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, and other complex or co-occurring concerns.
We treat OCD using evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), often alongside ACT and CBT. When trauma or PTSD is also present, treatment may include Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), or other trauma-focused approaches depending on what is actually driving the client’s symptoms.
Our clinicians work with intrusive thoughts, mental compulsions, reassurance seeking, rumination, scrupulosity, relationship OCD, harm OCD, POCD, and real-event OCD. We do not assume that every symptom is caused by OCD, trauma, or neurodivergence simply because one of those conditions is already diagnosed. We pay close attention to how symptoms function and interact so that treatment for one concern does not accidentally reinforce avoidance, reassurance seeking, or compulsive coping related to another.
Our practice is LGBTQIA+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and committed to culturally responsive care. We collaborate with other providers when useful and offer a weekly virtual, pay-what-you-can OCD support group for adults.
Treatment of Co-occurring Conditions:
We begin by identifying what is driving each symptom instead of assuming everything comes from the same diagnosis. OCD treatment is grounded in ERP and/or I-CBT, while trauma may be addressed through CPT, PE, IFS, or other trauma-focused approaches. Our clinicians also draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and other clinically appropriate approaches across a wide range of concerns. Treatment may be integrated or sequential based on the client’s needs and how the conditions interact. We monitor for ways treatment could reinforce avoidance, reassurance seeking, or compulsive coping.
Diversity Statement:
Our practice is committed to culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming care. We approach identity and lived experience with curiosity and cultural humility instead of assumptions. Treatment planning considers race, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, socioeconomic context, and systemic barriers when relevant to the client. We adapt evidence-based treatment without treating difference as pathology or assuming what an identity means for an individual. Clients are treated as experts on their own experiences, and we invite feedback when our understanding or approach needs to change.
Our clinicians’ education and experience include multicultural counseling, trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+-affirming practice, neurodiversity-affirming care, and work across varied racial, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, sexual, and disability identities. The practice owner also teaches multicultural counseling, supporting continued engagement with cultural humility, bias, identity development, systemic inequity, and culturally responsive practice. Clinicians pursue continuing education, consultation, and self-reflection and consider culture and context when assessing symptoms, selecting interventions, and interpreting treatment response.
Through telehealth, we serve clients throughout Michigan and Pennsylvania, including people in rural or underserved areas with limited access to OCD specialists. Clients represent varied racial, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, sexual, neurodevelopmental, and disability identities. We regularly address OCD themes involving religion, morality, sexuality, identity, trauma, discrimination, and systemic barriers. We accept commercial and Medicaid plans, offer a pay-what-you-can OCD support group, and have a graduate intern providing pro bono therapy to eligible Michigan clients. Treatment is adapted collaboratively to remain clinically appropriate and meaningful within each client’s culture and lived experience.
