Description:

The Freeman-Burchfield Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is located in Northwest Arkansas and we are a specialty outpatient practice providing evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety disorders, trauma, and related conditions. Our clinicians specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other research-supported interventions.

Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care that helps clients overcome anxiety, build resilience, and achieve lasting change. We work collaboratively with clients to develop practical skills that can be applied in everyday life.

We provide outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and adults through in-person and tele-health services. We also collaborate with referring providers when appropriate and offer follow-up recommendations to support long-term success.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that empowers individuals to reclaim their lives from OCD and anxiety.

Treatment of Co-occurring Conditions:

When clinically appropriate, we provide integrated treatment for co-occurring conditions such as OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and related concerns. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment and individualized case conceptualization. Our clinicians use evidence-based interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while addressing the interaction between co-occurring conditions. Treatment plans are tailored to each client’s needs, and we collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other professionals when appropriate to support coordinated, comprehensive care.

Diversity Statement:

We recognize that each individual’s background, identity, values, and lived experiences influence their mental health and treatment needs. Our clinicians strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel understood and supported. We are committed to ongoing learning, cultural humility, and adapting evidence-based treatments to ensure care is accessible, individualized, and respectful of each client’s unique circumstances.
