Narrative of Services:
Palm Tree Psychiatry is a concierge practice providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and limited psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. A significant portion of the practice focuses on OCD and related disorders, often alongside anxiety, mood, ADHD, and performance concerns. Dr. Tzvi Furer has treated hundreds of individuals with OCD across inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. Care emphasizes evidence-based approaches, thoughtful medication strategies, and close collaboration with therapists (e.g., ERP) and medical providers when appropriate.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Palm Tree Psychiatry offers concierge, individualized care for OCD and co-occurring conditions, integrating medication management, psychotherapy, and coordination with therapists and medical providers. Treatment is comprehensive, flexible, and tailored to high-functioning individuals, addressing anxiety, mood, attention, and performance alongside OCD with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach.
Training Description:
I am dual board-certified in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, with over a decade of experience treating OCD and related disorders. My training at NYU Langone Health and Bellevue Hospital Center provided extensive exposure to OCD across outpatient, emergency, and inpatient settings, including serving as Unit Chief of an adolescent inpatient service. During residency and fellowship, I received supervision and formal training in evidence-based treatments, including pharmacotherapy and ERP-informed care, and I continue to treat OCD across the lifespan in my concierge practice.
Diversity Statement:
My training at NYU Langone Health, Bellevue Hospital Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and Kings County Hospital Center provided extensive experience working with highly diverse and multicultural populations. Across these settings, I treated patients from a wide range of cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds, with formal training in cultural competency and cultural humility. My approach emphasizes respect for individual identity, family systems, and beliefs, and I continue to integrate culturally informed, patient-centered care into my practice.
