Narrative of Services:
Rapps Psychiatry provides specialized psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults with OCD and related conditions. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and evidence-based medication management, with a particular focus on OCD, anxiety, ADHD, and tic disorders. I collaborate closely with ERP therapists when appropriate to coordinate medication and psychotherapy. In-person appointments are available in West Hempstead, NY and Teaneck, NJ, with telepsychiatry available in multiple states.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with OCD and common co-occurring conditions, including anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression and other mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and tic disorders/Tourette syndrome. Treatment is individualized and may include medication management, psychoeducation, and collaboration with therapists providing ERP and other evidence-based psychotherapy.
Training Description:
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with advanced fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My clinical training included specialized experience evaluating and treating OCD and related disorders, including dedicated clinical training in OCD and tic disorders. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with OCD using evidence-based medication management and collaborative care with ERP therapists.
