OCD Kansas, operating out of Wichita, is committed to raising Kansans’ awareness about OCD and its treatment, as well as connecting clients and their families with providers and other resources to enhance their well-being.
We are always grateful for volunteers! If you would like to help out, please contact Sarah Staats or Eric Richardson. Also, join the OCD Kansas social media community at www.facebook.com/OCDKansas today.
OCD Kansas is now recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization! We can now accept tax-deductible donations through our website.
OCD Awareness Week was very successful this past October. We held three events at Wichita State University where we used fun activities to educate students about OCD and its treatment. Next year, we want to create events that reach out beyond Wichita State to the larger community.
Over the past year, OCD Kansas was contacted for help by a number of people with OCD and their loved ones. We’ve been able to connect them with low-cost, evidence-based treatment they might not have otherwise located. We have also reached out to a wider net of clinicians in the area to begin communication about who is providing evidence-based treatment for OCD and how we can spread those practices. We would like to facilitate that growth by providing a training event in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD in the coming months. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you or someone you know is interested in getting involved, as we are actively seeking new leadership and volunteers to grow our organization and its impact.
