OCD Louisiana
OCD Louisiana was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2018 by a group of mental health providers in Southeast Louisiana in response to a lack of needed resources in the state for those affected with OCD and related disorders.
Our primary goals target support and education. We are committed to facilitating further growth of a supportive community for those who suffer with these conditions, as well as their family members and friends. We also welcome mental healthcare providers, other medical professionals, researchers, educators, religious leaders, and other interested community members. Our in-person and virtual programming promote this sense of community. We also provide the tools and assistance needed for anyone interested in starting a peer-led support group and offer a virtual consultation group for professionals treating OCD and related disorders.
OCD Louisiana is dedicated to reducing stigma and misinformation about OCD and related disorders and disseminating accurate information to the public and professional community through our online presence, local presentations, and other awareness-raising events. Through this work, we hope to increase access to evidence-based treatment in Louisiana and empower sufferers to live a full life despite OCD.
