Training Cost

 The cost of registration for all three days is $500, which includes the cost of continuing education credits.

BTTI Learning Objectives

1. Participants will be able to accurately diagnose Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

2. Participants will be able to design and implement Cognitive Behavioral interventions for OCD, particularly exposure and response prevention.

3. Participants will understand the role of pharmacotherapy in the treatment of OCD and will have knowledge of the agents used in its treatment.

4. Participants will be able to develop treatment plans for children and adolescents who have OCD.

5. Participants will understand comorbidity and the Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum and treatment applications therein.

6. Participants will be able to develop a plan to aid individuals with treatment resistant OCD including the use of Motivational Interviewing techniques and other strategies for managing treatment resistant OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders.

7. Participants will apply knowledge gained in the educational portion of the institute during small group studies of case examples.

Continuing Education

This program is managed by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), Inc. This program has been approved by NBCC for NBCC Credit. The IOCDF is solely responsible for all aspects of the program (NBCC Approval #SP-2490).

This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Provider #886509959) for 21 continuing education contact hours.

IOCDF is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IOCDF maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Course meets the qualifications for 21 CE credits for psychologists.

Please note, only social workers, mental health counselors, psychologists, and MFTs will receive continuing education credits for this training. While psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals are welcome to attend this training, please note that CEUs are not offered for this program for those disciples outside those outlines above

Attendance Requirements

Trainees must attend all three days of the BTTI in order to receive a CE certificate. Trainees must also complete three follow-up phone calls with a designated BTTI faculty member in order to be considered a graduate of this program and to receive a certificate of completion.

Attending a BTTI session is a benefit of Professional Membership with the IOCDF and all registered attendees must have an active professional membership to attend. To check the status of your membership, email info@iocdf.org or call (617) 973-5801.

Attendees who will be flying to La Guardia Airport (LGA) should follow LaGuardia Rd. Take a slight right toward Grand Central Pkwy and travel 0.3 miles. Take a slight left to merge onto Grand Central Pkwy. Travel 0.9 miles and take the exit onto Brooklyn Queens Expy E. Travel 1.2 miles then merge onto I-278 W. Travel 6.8 miles and take exit 29 to merge onto Tillary St toward Manhattan Bridge/Bklyn Civic Center. Travel 0.6 miles and turn left onto Adams St. Turn left toward Adams St/Brooklyn Bridge Blvd and then turn left onto Adams St/Brooklyn Bridge Blvd. The hotel will be on the right.

Attendees who will be flying to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) should Follow signs for US-1 N/US-9 N/US-22/NJ-21 then for U.S. 1 Truck N/US-9 Truck N. Merge onto U.S. 9 N. Travel 3.3 miles and continue onto NJ-139 E. Travel 1.3 miles and merge onto I-78 E (Partial toll road). Travel 2.2 miles and continue onto Holland Tunnel (Toll road). Take the ramp to Varick St (Toll road). Follow the round about to the left then take exit 4 toward Downtown.
