Training Cost

The cost of registration for all three days is $500, which includes the cost of continuing education credits.

BTTI Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will be able to accurately diagnose Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
  2. Participants will be able to design and implement Cognitive Behavioral interventions for OCD, particularly exposure and response prevention.
  3. Participants will understand the role of pharmacotherapy in the treatment of OCD and will have knowledge of the agents used in its treatment.
  4. Participants will be able to develop treatment plans for children and adolescents who have OCD.
  5. Participants will understand comorbidity and the Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum and treatment applications therein.
  6. Participants will be able to develop a plan to aid individuals with treatment-resistant OCD including the use of Motivational Interviewing techniques and other strategies for managing treatment-resistant OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders.
  7. Participants will apply knowledge gained in the educational portion of the institute during small group studies of case examples.

Continuing Education

This program is managed by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), Inc. This program has been approved by NBCC for NBCC Credit. The IOCDF is solely responsible for all aspects of the program (NBCC Approval #SP-2490).

This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Provider #886509959) for 21 continuing education contact hours.

IOCDF is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IOCDF maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Course meets the qualifications for 21 CE credits for psychologists.

Please note, only social workers, mental health counselors, psychologists, and MFTs will receive continuing education credits for this training. While psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals are welcome to attend this training, please note that CEUs are not offered for this program for those disciples outside those outlines above

Attendance Requirements

Trainees must attend all three days of the BTTI in order to receive a CE certificate. Trainees must also complete three follow-up phone calls with a designated BTTI faculty member in order to be considered a graduate of this program and to receive a certificate of completion.

Additionally, if you are not currently a professional member of the IOCDF, you must become a professional member in order to register for this training. Professional membership is $125 per person, per year. We will look up your membership status upon receiving your application, and follow up with you if you do not have a membership within 30 days of the training. If you have any questions about your membership or about this policy, please feel free to contact us. There will be no exceptions to these requirements.

Local Transportation

Attendees should fly into Keflavik Airport (KEF). Reykjavik has an extensive bus and taxi system which can bring attendees to their hotel and the training locations. If you are driving from Keflavik airport, take the first right at the roundabout and continue in the direction of Hafnarfjordur. Follow signs for Reykjavik along the coast road Saebraut. Follow Saebraut until the left-hand turn onto Kringlumyrabraut, on second traffic lights turn left up Sudurlandsbraut, Hilton Reykjavik is on your right-hand side.
