I treat and support individuals with OCD and related disorders, utilizing Exposure Response Prevention and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Approximately 90% of my practice is dedicated to treating OCD and related disorders.
As an OCD therapist working with clients who have comorbid ADHD, I utilize an integrated, individualized approach that addresses both conditions concurrently. Treatment involves evidence-based interventions for OCD, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), while also incorporating strategies to manage ADHD-related symptoms. This includes providing structure and external supports, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and using reminders or organizational tools to compensate for attentional difficulties. Psychoeducation is offered to help clients understand the interaction between OCD and ADHD symptoms. Collaboration with prescribers is maintained when medication management is indicated. Throughout treatment, interventions are adapted to accommodate potential challenges with attention, impulsivity, and executive functioning, ensuring that therapeutic tasks remain accessible and effective for clients with both diagnoses.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have completed a 3-day training and requisite consultation follow up calls through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute as well. I have been treating OCD and related disorders for three years.
