Kristina Ala BA, MSW, RSW
Psychotherapist
About 50% of my practice is devoted to the treatment of OCD. My clinical approach combines treatment from cognitive behavioural therapy (including exposure and response prevention for OCD), dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy and attachment based interventions.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University and a Master of Social Work degree with a specialty in Health and Mental Health from the University of Toronto. I have worked in an outpatient hospital setting with children and adolescents, and managed a private practice treating individuals of all ages. I have treated over 200 clients with OCD and/or OCD Spectrum Disorders.
