Narrative of Services:

Approximately 90% of my practice is dedicated to treating OCD and anxiety disorders, with the remainder focusing on related challenges like depression and adjustment disorders. I offer specialized, evidence-based individual therapy utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My services provide highly individualized, structured treatment plans for teens and adults. I work collaboratively with clients to help them manage intrusive thoughts, reduce compulsive behaviors, tolerate uncertainty, and address co-occurring mood challenges to improve their overall quality of life.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I treat OCD and related anxiety disorders using a highly structured, evidence-based approach anchored in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

My treatment structure begins with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to map specific obsessions, compulsions, and anxiety triggers. Clients then participate in structured weekly individual sessions, progressing through a collaborative fear hierarchy. I emphasize active, guided in-session exposures and structured between-session homework, empowering clients to tolerate uncertainty, reduce compulsive behaviors, and regain functional independence.

Training Description:

I have provided professional counseling since 2009 and have run my private practice for almost 15 years, focusing on OCD for the past 3 years. My training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) includes post-graduate coursework, continuing education, and clinical supervision with a senior OCD specialist. Through this training and experience, I design and implement structured, evidence-based exposure hierarchies. I am dedicated to utilizing the latest clinical advancements in OCD and anxiety to provide high-quality, specialized care to my clients.

Diversity Statement:

In addition to my private practice, I work full-time in a high school with a wonderful, predominantly Hispanic student population. Working closely with these students every day has truly deepened my cultural understanding and helps me connect with and support teens in a much more meaningful way. It has taught me how to navigate family dynamics with care, talk openly about mental health, and tailor my approach to fit each teen’s unique background. I am deeply committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space where diverse teens and their families feel truly heard, respected, and supported.
