Narrative of Services:
I am in private practice at my clinic, Center for Anxiety & Chronic Worry. I exclusively treat individuals, couples, and families experiencing OCD and Anxiety Disorders. My treatment orientation includes CBT, ERP, ACT, and Mindfulness, personalized for each client to encourage a “SHIFT” in their understanding and relationship with anxiety toward a life informed by an acceptance of uncertainty and a commitment toward honoring one’s values, curiosity about thinking, facing fears,useful evidence gained from broader life experiences, and belief in “I Can” self-efficacy.
My educational background, training, credentialing and experience has been in the area of Developmental Psychology, Marriage and Family Systems, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I earned by BA in Developmental Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1981; my MS in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University in 1985; and have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 1986. I am a Graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). I have been treating Anxiety Disorders and OCD since 1990.
