Narrative of Services:

I am the founder and Clinical Director of Align Online Therapy, a California telehealth group practice serving adults in their 20s and 30s. OCD and related disorders represent approximately 25% of my personal caseload, and I have treated or clinically supervised the treatment of over 50 individuals with OCD. I direct our OCD program, which delivers weekly ERP supported by ACT and mindfulness, with exposures conducted in the client’s real environment. My direct clinical focus is family accommodation work with partners and parents of OCD clients, alongside individual ERP. Services are available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, with reduced-fee slots.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

OCD and BDD treatment is anchored in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), paced gradually and collaboratively, and integrated with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness to build tolerance for uncertainty. Co-occurring conditions are treated within one unified plan rather than in sequence. Anxiety and mood disorders are addressed through CBT, somatic and cognitive restructuring work, and behavioral activation, since avoidance and rumination overlap heavily with compulsions. For clients with ADHD, we adapt ERP with structured homework, shorter exposure blocks, and concrete between-session tasks. Our OCD specialists bring prior experience in intensive OCD program settings.

Training Description:

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) with over 12 years of clinical practice and a master’s in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, where I also serve as adjunct faculty. My OCD-specific training includes 10 years treating OCD and related disorders, with a focus on family accommodation and its role in maintaining symptoms. As Clinical Director I provide weekly supervision and case consultation for our OCD program, whose clinicians trained at an intensive OCD treatment center offering residential, PHP, and IOP care.

Diversity Statement:

My practice serves adults in their 20s and 30s across California, with a significant share of South Asian and other first- and second-generation clients navigating family expectations, cultural identity, and belonging. More than 50% of my caseload identifies as minorities, and I provide therapy in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Our group practice also offers Spanish-language services. I approach culture broadly, encompassing age, parenting, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and financial reality, and I regularly work with clients whose OCD presentations, particularly scrupulosity, family accommodation, and relationship OCD, are shaped by cultural and religious context. Reduced-fee slots support access.

As adjunct faculty at Pepperdine University and Fullerton College, I have taught multiple university-level courses on culture and diversity in clinical practice at the master’s and bachelor’s levels. My graduate training in clinical psychology at Pepperdine included coursework in multicultural competency, and I have completed countless hours of continuing education in cultural humility and diversity. As Clinical Director, I supervise associate therapists with explicit attention to cultural formulation in case conceptualization. Over 12 years of practice, I have built specialized experience with South Asian clients and immigrant families, informed by my own bilingual, bicultural background.
