Narrative of Services:

I offer individual counselling for children, youth, and adults, in person in Kelowna and virtually across British Columbia, in English and Punjabi. I treat OCD and related disorders alongside co-occurring depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and autism spectrum disorder. I am building my practice toward OCD specialization through IOCDF membership and formal training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) scheduled in November 2026. Individuals who have been diagnosed with OCD or have suspected OCD make up 30% of my caseload.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I treat co-occurring depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) alongside OCD, addressing the full clinical picture. I work with children, youth, and adults in-person in Kelowna and virtually across BC, in English and Punjabi. Treatment is individualized and collaborative.

Training Description:

I have worked in the mental health field since 2008 across schools, the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), WorkSafeBC, Interior Health, Fraser Health, and private practice. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #12624, BCACC) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I joined the IOCDF in September 2026 and am registered for my first formal training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) with the West Coast OCD and Anxiety Clinic (November 9–10, 2026), with additional OCD-focused webinars underway. I am also an individual with OCD and have close family members that also have been diagnosed with OCD.

Diversity Statement:

As a South Asian counsellor who has had to navigate mental health care for myself and family, I have a unique perspective from both sides of treatment (receiving support and offering it). I offer counselling in English and Punjabi, and most of my current clients are People of Color(BIPOC). I have served on Diversity and Inclusion committees at a nonprofit and actively work to educate the South Asian community about mental health over the last 15 years. I am committed to culturally responsive, affirming care and am deepening this work through my application to the IOCDF Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Council.
