Narrative of Services:

My practice provides individual and couple therapy to adults. I specialize in treated trauma, anxiety disorders, and OCD. Approximately 25% of my clinical work is focused on the treatment of OCD. I provide ERP and I-CBT for OCD treatment. I have a passion for walking alongside people in the midst of struggle. When you come to therapy, it’s like you are trying to climb a mountain; I am not at the top of your mountain but, rather, on another mountain, offering a different perspective, pointing out potential dangers, and helping you find the most effective path along your journey.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I commonly treat co-occurring PTSD. First, we work to understand your current experience and determine what is driving symptoms. Then we develop plan based on this understanding of your experience (e.g., often use sequential treatment, choose to treat OCD or PTSD first). In addition to PTSD training on internship and residency, I have completed intensive trainings in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for PTSD. I am also a Certified CPT Provider.

Training Description:

I received my PhD from the University of North Texas. My doctoral internship was completed with VA Portland Healthcare System and postdoctoral residency at VA San Diego Healthcare System.

Since 2021, I have completed intensive trainings in ERP, including EX/RP training with Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) and BTTI with IOCDF. I remain engaged in ongoing OCD consultation groups.

Diversity Statement:

As a bisexual, fat femme, I think intersectionality is essential and strive to meet you at the intersections of your identities and lived experience. I deeply value providing LGBTQIA+ Affirming therapy and approximately 50% of my clinical practice is with gender and sexual minorities.

My doctoral research address LGBTQIA+ Health. I have trained in numerous VA systems and have expertise working with Veterans. Additionally, I have completed readings and trainings on working with diverse communities (e.g., disabilities, neurodivergence, trans and non-binary, perinatal populations, race + ethnicity, non-monogamy). I want to work to understand your lived experience and how it informs your life and well-being.
