My practice focuses heavily on OCD, which makes up 85% of my caseload, frequently alongside co-occurring disorders like BDD, Panic, or Anxiety Disorders. I treat an equal split of children and adults.
Therapy is finite and goal-oriented, not needing to be a lifelong commitment. Clients actively collaborate on treatment goals setting a pace that works, meeting weekly or twice-weekly. Children meet in-person, with occasional off-site or telehealth sessions for real-world support during exposures in activating locations. Parents also have sessions to receive support, learn of OCD, and to gain insight to their child’s experience, and how to best support them.
Assessment & Safety: Review prior records, conduct comprehensive intakes, and stabilize primary risks like eating disorders or addictions first.
Collaborative ERP Core: Using the Inhibitory Learning Model, clients learn to uncover perceived threats, design effective exposures, adapt them over time, and generalize skills everywhere without white-knuckling.
Integrated Support: Once OCD stabilizes, I integrate tailored care for secondary conditions (ADHD, Mood/Panic Disorders, BDD, PANDAS/PANS) using ERP, ACT, DBT, CBT-I, and Self-Compassion.
Holistic Care: Interweave Self-care (sleep, nutrition, social engagement) and coordinate closely with external medical and school teams.
With 5+ years of dedicated experience treating OCD and Anxiety Disorders, my clinical background includes intensive work at a specialized OCD center that had IOP and OP services. I have advanced training in gold-standard evidence-based modalities, including ERP, ACT, DBT, ATT, and Self-Compassion. These approaches effectively target obsessions, compulsions, and avoidance patterns associated with OCD, BDD, Panic and Anxiety Disorders. My expertise is continually expanded through specialized trainings, international conferences, and ongoing professional consultation, ensuring clients receive high-quality, up-to-date, evidence-based care tailored to their goals. Together, we work to build practical strategies that foster lasting independence.
Growing up as the child of an Argentine immigrant gave me firsthand insight into navigating dual cultures and family expectations. In my clinical practice, I have worked with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including Chinese, South Asian/Indian, and Mexican communities. I recognize how cultural stigma and family roles influence how OCD and Anxiety disorders present. I thoughtfully tailor gold-standard interventions like ERP to align with each client’s specific cultural context, personal values, religious beliefs, and family dynamics.
My foundation in cultural competency was built through years of immersive community involvement prior to private practice. As a former teacher in the SF Bay Area and an active volunteer in South Florida, I worked closely alongside Haitian, Brazilian, Dominican, Jewish, Hindu, Asian, and Hispanic families. These experiences served as practical training in cultural humility, active listening, and navigating diverse faith perspectives—qualities I integrate directly into my clinical practice to build deep trust with every client.
