Rachel M. Brittingham LPC, NCC, CCTP
I enjoy working with those struggling with OCD, from pre-teens through adults. I utilize ERP in a compassionate way and incorporate aspects of ACT where/when appropriate. I have experience working with clients who have a variety of OCD presentations, including: harm (both self and others), perfectionism, “just right”, contamination, and scrupulosity. I also have experience working with folks with emetophobia. When working with clients, I incorporate the family and other members of the treatment team when appropriate, including parents and psychiatrists.
I was trained through working at Rogers Behavioral Health, which is an organization that prides itself on highly specialized and evidence-based treatment for OCD and BFRB. This intensive training and treatment was supervised and led by a senior therapist in the field who is highly involved in OCD treatment and research. There was an emphasis on ERP, HRT, CBT, and ACT.
Additionally, I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which has been proven to be effective for OCD treatment.
Check out my website for more info about my trainings and specialties, which include PTSD.
