Emily K. Brooks PsyD
Approximately 80% of my patients have a diagnosis of OCD, all of my patients are diagnosed with some form of anxiety disorder and about half have co-occurring diagnoses of depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social anxiety or body-focused repetitive behaviors (i.e. skin-picking/hair-pulling).
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from La Salle University in Philadelphia and treat individuals ages 15+ with OCD, BFRBs, generalized anxiety, panic, phobias, social anxiety, and PTSD. My speciality is individuals with sexual/sexuality, harm, religious/morality, contamination and self-control obsessions. I received training at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, VA Maryland Health Care System, University of Maryland Medical Center, and CBT Center for Anxiety and OCD.
I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and welcome all patients with sexual or sexuality-related obsessions. I also specialize in race-based trauma care and invite patients from any and all cultural backgrounds to treatment. Sliding-scale and supplementary support is available to those with financial hardship. Religious cultures that I specialize in working with are Judaism, Jehovas Witnesses and Catholicism.
