Narrative of Services:

My private practice is a Singapore-based private practice specializing in OCD and related disorders. To date, we have treated approximately 110 individuals presenting with OCD and co-occurring conditions, including ADD/ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders. Our clinical approach draws on evidence-based, exposure-based interventions tailored to each individual’s presentation and comorbidity profile. We provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for OCD across its many symptom presentations, with particular attention to how co-occurring conditions influence diagnosis, case formulation, and treatment planning, ensuring an integrated and individualized path to recovery.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I use cognitive-behavioral model of hoarding, exposure and response prevention (ERP) in OCD, and NCFED(UK) training for eating disorder treatment. I either use sequencing treatment by tackling the most impairing/”primary” disorder first, or treat conditions simultaneously via integrated or alternating sessions, with ERP as the shared mechanism across both.

Training Description:

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MEd in Special Education, and an MSocSci in Professional Counselling. I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision, supporting oversight and case consultation in complex clinical presentations. I am a BPS/RQTU-recognized Specialist in Psychological Testing, qualified in the administration and interpretation of standardized psychological assessments. I have also completed training with the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED, UK) in the treatment of eating disorders, a condition frequently co-occurring with OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders.

Diversity Statement:

My practice is based in Singapore, a multicultural society comprising diverse ethnic, linguistic, and religious communities, including Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian populations, alongside a substantial expatriate community. This context means my clinical work regularly involves individuals and families from a wide range of cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. Working within this environment has shaped my approach to case formulation and treatment planning, requiring sensitivity to how cultural values, family structures, and religious beliefs intersect with the presentation and expression of OCD and related disorders.

My MEd in Special Education provided direct training and experience working with neurodiverse populations, including children and adolescents with ADHD/ADD and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have also pursued training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), further strengthening my behavioral assessment and intervention skills with neurodiverse individuals. This background has informed my clinical work in couple therapy, including cases where one partner has Asperger’s, requiring adaptation of therapeutic approach to address differences in communication style, emotional expression, and relational needs, supporting culturally and neurologically responsive case formulation for neurodiverse individuals and their families.
