My private practice provides individual therapy for adolescents and adults, treating OCD and related anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Approximately 50% of my current caseload consists of individuals with OCD. I have worked with hundreds of individuals experiencing a wide range of OCD themes and presentations.
I treat OCD with co-occurring anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related conditions. Treatment is individualized and incorporates CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and behavioral activation strategies based on each client’s clinical needs.
My clinical experience spans over 20 years across various levels of care, including inpatient psychiatric settings and outpatient private practice, treating individuals with a broad range of mental health conditions and levels of severity. For the past 13 years, OCD and related anxiety disorders have been a primary focus of my private practice. My training in ERP and I-CBT has involved specialized workshops, continuing education, clinical supervision, and case consultation with experienced colleagues, complemented by extensive direct clinical experience treating individuals with diverse OCD presentations.
Originally from Chile and raised in South Florida, I have lived and worked in culturally diverse communities. My clinical experience includes working with individuals of diverse cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community.
Through my work in psychiatric hospitals, I have served underserved populations, including immigrants, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those involved in the criminal justice system. I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care and improving access to mental health services.
