Elizabeth Cohen PhD

Dr. Elizabeth Cohen and Associates is a group practice providing holistic CBT care to children, adolescents, and adults in the Center of NYC.

The goal of our practice is to help people work through their fears, hesitations and blocks using CBT and ERP.

My associates and I strive to provide all clients with the best clinical care within a caring and supportive environment.

All members of the team have basic assessment skills in OCD. Approximately 1/3 of Dr. Cohen’s caseload consists of patients OCD and 1/2 of other clinicians.

We are LGBTQI affirming, and understand the ways systemic oppression, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and xenophobia impact our mental health individually and collectively. We continually strive to be culturally aware and trauma-informed.

I was trained in ERP and CBT at the world renowned Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders lead by David Barlow, PhD. In my clinical internship training at the NYU Child Study Center I received training in intensive ERP for children and adolescents. I have treated hundreds of client successfully using ERP.I teach ERP to all the clinicians in my practice.
