Narrative of Services:

Collaborative, compassionate, exposure-based treatment is our preferred method of treating primary presenting concerns of all patients at Burnett CBT. We serve many individuals with OCD and OCD related disorders, with about 50% primarily seeking treatment for OCD, around 25% seeking treatment for BFRB’s, and around 25-50% receiving exposure-based treatment of anxiety related disorders like PTSD, social anxiety, phobias, panic, and others. Dr. Cojocaru provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) for anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, depression, PTSD, BFRB’s, and related concerns. She uses the following treatment modalities: ERP, Mindfulness, CBT-I, Behavioral Activation, MI, DBT informed treatment, Habit Reversal, CPT, PE, and more.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Dr. Cojocaru treats OCD with comorbid disorders including mood disorders, PTSD, phobias, and personality disorders.

Training Description:

Dr. Cojocaru received pre-and post-doctoral training in numerous areas of evidence-based treatment, including CBT, ERP, CPT, PCMHI, and others. She has over a decade of experience in providing psychological assessments and treatments. She is trained in various evidence-based exposure treatments and currently attends ongoing training and consultation groups for ERP and OCD focused treatment. Dr. Cojocaru has worked with a diverse range of patients in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, community mental health clinics, private practices, military treatment facilities, and community healthcare organizations.

Dr. Cojocaru has worked extensively with diverse populations throughout her clinical career. She has years of experience in working with Black, Latino, LGBTIQIA, and military populations. She has also worked closely with individuals with concurrent concerns such as chronic medical conditions, substance use, homelessness, and low-SES.
