Narrative of Services:

Our practice specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, including exposure and response prevention, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy, for individuals with OCD and related anxiety disorders. More than half of our clinical work focuses on OCD treatment. We also treat individuals with specific anxiety-related concerns, including health anxiety, separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and co-occurring conditions.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

When treating co-occurring disorders, I use an integrated, individualized treatment structure based on the client’s primary concerns, symptom severity, and treatment goals. OCD treatment typically centers on cognitive behavioral therapy with exposure and response prevention, while also addressing related concerns such as anxiety, depression, perfectionism, intolerance of uncertainty, avoidance, and emotion regulation difficulties. Treatment planning is collaborative and may include skills from acceptance and commitment therapy and values-based work.

Training Description:

I have specialized in treating OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders for five years, with clinical experience using evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I earned my doctorate from Chatham University, completed my APA-accredited internship at The Ohio State University, and completed postdoctoral training at Capital OCD and Anxiety Practice. I currently serve as Director of Education for OCD Texas and continue to pursue specialized training and consultation in OCD treatment.

Diversity Statement:

My education, training, and clinical experience have included a strong focus on cultural humility, cultural competency, and working effectively with diverse populations. I have provided care to individuals across varied racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, sexual orientation, and neurodiversity backgrounds.
