Debra Dalton Stein, MFT
Narrative of Services:
I have been a staff therapist at the Santa Barbara branch of the OCD Center of Los Angeles since 2015. I work exclusively with clients with all forms of OCD and related OC spectrum disorders, as well as those with eating disorders. Our program focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). We treat adults, adolescents, and children, and offer individual therapy, group therapy, online therapy, and an intensive outpatient program. We have ten therapists on staff, and offer services six days a week. We have offices at four locations in Southern California.
I received my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Eastern Illinois University, and have been a licensed psychotherapist since 1988 – first in Michigan, and since 1990, in California. I am also a certified graduate of the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) at the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). Additionally, I have extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders, and for many years I specialized in treating Anorexia, Bulimia and Compulsive Eating (Binge Eating Disorder). I am a professional member of IOCDF, and a former board member of the Central Coast Chapter of the International Eating Disorders Association (IAEDP).
