Narrative of Services:

Close to 20% of my work as a clinician, uses counseling services to work with children and adolescents who have OCD, or related symptoms. The work that I do with clients involves a lot of focus on using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Training Description:

I have completed trainings for both OCD in adults and OCD in children and adolescents. Through those trainings, I have learned about the tools and resources that are necessary to incorporate in treating client’s with OCD. I have been working with client’s who have OCD for close to two years now, in the Central Florida area. Most of my work in OCD has been done with children and adolescents, however, I have also worked with adults as well.

Diversity Statement:

In my practice, not only do I see a lot of diversity in the clients that I see, I find great importance of working through the lens of a multicultural approach. It is important to truly get to know my clients, their thoughts, beliefs, values and to be able to create a treatment plan that is inclusive to who they are.

I am a graduate from the Rollins College Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, where their mission is to educate and prepare counselors to value the importance of multicultural. They take pride in training future counselors to be competent and to be able to see through that multicultural lens. I have also completed CEUs and other necessary trainings and seminars to continue to educate me in cultural competency.
