About 65% of my current caseload consists of individuals with OCD and/or a related disorder, including specific phobias, health anxiety, and social anxiety. I have over 8 years of clinical experience treating OCD spectrum conditions. My primary treatment approach is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), delivered via telehealth throughout New Jersey and participating PSYPACT states.
OCD often co-occurs with other mental health concerns, most commonly anxiety and depression. At the start of treatment, I assess for comorbid conditions so we have a full picture of what you’re experiencing. When it comes to deciding what to address first, I follow your lead, though I’ll offer a recommendation if I notice symptoms significantly interfering with your daily life, well-being, or functioning. My goal is for treatment to feel collaborative and responsive to your priorities.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist (NJ #35SI00756400). I received my MA and PsyD from Nova Southeastern University, completed internship at UT Health San Antonio, and trained at the Center for Emotional Health. I’m a published researcher on OCD and disgust, an active speaker and mental health advocate, and a member of the APA and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
My expertise spans CBT and exposure-based treatment, including ERP for OCD, interoceptive exposure for panic, and gradual exposure for phobias, social anxiety, and health-related distress.
My training in medical settings, including my internship at UT Health San Antonio, involved serving patients from underserved communities. PSYPACT authorization allows me to reach clients in over 43 states, including those in rural areas with limited access to OCD specialists. I approach this work through cultural humility rather than competence, attending to how cultural and religious context shapes obsessional content, particularly in scrupulosity presentations.
