Narrative of Services:

My practice focuses on helping children, teens, and families with behavior, anxiety, and OCD-related concerns. While I usually see a wide range of presenting issues, OCD is a recurring area of focus in my caseload. I’ve provided exposure-based treatment to dozens of young people with OCD symptoms, using developmentally appropriate, evidence-based strategies that engage both kids and caregivers.

Training Description:

I have successfully treated pediatric OCD for about 5 years using exposure therapy methods. My graduate training included exposure therapy supervision, including exposure for OCD, PTSD, and Panic Disorder, as well as Habit Reversal Training supervision for tics and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Most of my experience is with children, teens, and families, but I have also worked with adults using exposure techniques.

Diversity Statement:

While working in Florida, I had the privilege of serving many Caribbean and Latino families, often navigating cultural differences around parenting, school, and mental health. I don’t speak Spanish or Haitian Creole, but I worked closely with families to build strong, respectful partnerships.

I’ve worked with diverse populations in settings including a VA hospital, an HIV clinic in Detroit, and with Caribbean and Latino families in Florida. I also consult directly with a member of WPATH to ensure affirming, informed care for LGBTQIA+ clients. While I haven’t completed formal training in this area, I draw on these experiences, supervision, and ongoing self-education to guide inclusive, respectful practice.
