Alexis Gade MS, LPC, NBCC
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety and OCD. Through therapy, I work with clients to help them accept their anxieties rather than fight against them in order to live life according to their values. Through acceptance and mindfulness, clients can work on getting unstuck from their thoughts and be more present in their daily life.
In addition to working with individuals with anxiety and OCD, I also work with individuals with a variety of other presenting concerns, such as depression, perinatal mood disorders, parenting concerns, and life transitions. I work with each client to create an individual treatment plan addressing their unique needs.
I have been working with individuals with anxiety and OCD for the past seven years and utilize skills from Exposure Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Habit Reversal Training, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I received training at Rogers Behavioral Health and worked in their OCD partial hospitalization program. For the past four years, I have been working with individuals in the outpatient setting, providing both in person and telehealth sessions.
