Caryn Gill, LPC
Narrative of Services:
As a therapist with background working with a diverse range of clients, I am experienced in helping people work through mood, relationship, and anxiety disorders outside of just their OCD. About half of the clients I work with struggle with OCD and/or Obsessive Compulsive-related disorders. I primarily utilize Exposure and Response Prevention to help my clients with OCD, and I take a behavioral approach to treat other mental health issues as well. I incorporate CBT and DBT when not contraindicative to ERP as well as ACT. My goal is to create more freedom the constraints of compulsions for my clients.
I have worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs under the clinical supervision of leading providers and researchers in the field of OCD/OCD Spectrum Disorders. In addition to receiving training as an ERP therapist, I also have received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy. With my clients who do not struggle with OCD, I will occasionally pull upon my training in Internal Family Systems as well.
