Narrative of Services:

The Snow Psychology Group, LLC is a private group practice providing evidence-based CBT across the lifespan (ages 5+). We specialize in OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard approach, and have advanced training and extensive experience treating diverse OCD presentations, including mental compulsions. When working with children and young teens, I involve parents when appropriate to support ERP skills, reduce family accommodation, and strengthen relationships. Our psychologists provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy to address concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, body image, tics, relationships, and life transitions, both in-person in Maryland and online in 40+ states.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

We treat co-occurring disorders using evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and related approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT) for body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) such as hair pulling and skin picking, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and exposure-based treatments. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety (phobias, separation anxiety, selective mutism, social anxiety), PTSD, eating disorders including ARFID, autism, and ADHD. Treatment focuses on identifying unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, reducing avoidance, strengthening emotion regulation, increasing cognitive flexibility, and developing skills to accept internal experiences to live a meaningful, values-based life.

Training Description:

I have many years of clinical experience working with a wide variety of mental health conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma, beginning with my doctoral training at Stony Brook University Krasner Psychological Center- Anxiety Disorders Specialty Clinic. Internship training was completed at the West Haven Veterans Affairs Medical Center and post-doctoral training was completed at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at University of Connecticut Health Center, where I was subsequently employed as a staff psychologist. I also have specialized training in providing therapy to LGBTQ youth.

Diversity Statement:

I am committed to providing an affirming, culturally humble, and inclusive therapeutic environment for all individuals and families. My approach blends flexibility, compassion, and respect for each client’s unique identities and lived experiences.
