Training Description:

I have successfully treated individuals with OCD and related disorders for over 20 years using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and other evidence-based interventions. I joined the Anxiety & OCD Behavioral Health Center (AOBHC) in Munster, IN, in 2018. I completed my undergraduate work at Western Illinois University, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in law enforcement and judicial administration in 1997. I went on to complete a master’s degree with honors at Governors State University in community counseling in 2004. I became a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional in 2018.

Diversity Statement:

I am culturally aware and sensitive to my patients’ unique needs. I recognize the impact of background and experiences in influencing attitudes, values, and biases on my patients’ psychological processes. While I practice fluency in addressing cultural, gender, religious, and political diversity of the surrounding community, I also recognize the limits of my multicultural competency and expertise.

I participate in ongoing education and professional development ensuring that relevant theories, therapeutic strategies and interventions are utilized in working with diverse populations.
