Narrative of Services:
I offer virtual counseling for adults ages 18–50 navigating anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) alongside a multicultural, intersectional approach, supporting clients in understanding how their identities, lived experiences, and social contexts shape their mental health.
Training Description:
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of New Jersey with a NJ School Counseling certificate. Attended the BTTI foundational training May 2024 and advanced forum in October 2024. Presently I am pursuing doctoral studies in counseling and supervision at Montclair State University.
Diversity Statement:
I have experience supporting Latine American, African American, and South Asian American clients, and I am trained to work with individuals across diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual orientation, and ability identities. My approach is grounded in cultural humility and an understanding that each client’s lived experience is shaped by multiple, intersecting identities.
I have received formal training at the Behavior Training Institute through the International OCD Foundation, equipping me to provide expert treatment for clients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and related conditions. What sets me apart is my dedicated focus on supporting clients of color, recognizing the unique challenges of navigating OCD within the context of holding multiple intersecting identities. By integrating compassion and mindfulness practices, I create a culturally affirming space that honors the whole person. I believe providing care that is as nuanced and unique as the individuals I work with is imperative to foster a deeper, more effective healing process.
