Kelsie Hendrickson, PhD
Narrative of Services:
I see a number of children and adolescents with OCD, OC-Spectrum Disorders (hair pulling, skin picking, tics/TS), and co-occurring disorders (anxiety, depression, ASD) in the clinic for a combination of either psychological assessment and/or treatment. My pediatric/health background is also helpful for those with OCD and medical conditions. I enjoy teaching caregivers and school teachers/administrators their role in helping support children with these disorders. At any given time, 50 to 75% of my caseload is comprised of OCD, OC-Spectrum Disorders, and/or co-occurring conditions. I also provide consultation to other clinicians who are interested in treating OCD.
I am able to diagnose and treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am trained in administering the gold standard assessment for ASD, the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). I typically use CBT, ACT, or Behavior Therapy in either individual or family formats. I also have a passion for helping youth diagnosed with acute and chronic medical conditions who may have trouble adjusting to their diagnosis, interventions such as surgery, and/or medication regimen.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
I have received training and experience in OCD and OC-Spectrum Disorders through graduate training, a 2-year child/pediatric postdoctoral fellowship, several workshops/intensive trainings such as Pediatric BTTI, and consultation with experts in the field. I am also trained in co-occurring conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD. I continue my journey in learning through other means including the OCD Stories, Peace of Mind Foundation, and annual conferences.
