50 to 60% of my practice is with patients with OCD. I also specialize in trauma treatment, including providing EMDR. Often patients come to me with needs in both areas. I treat anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and most issues in general practice. I have been trained especially in treatment of trichotillomania and excoriation.
For 20 years as a school social worker, I worked in an at-risk middle school most of the time and a majority of the IEP kids I worked with were African American. I also worked with Asian and Latino students and their families. In my private practice, I welcome all people. My experiences in the school prepared me for work with a great cultural and racial diversity. As a licensed clinical social worker, I am required to attend cultural workshops every year. I understand that cultural differences require knowledge and sensitivity.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels (ADA accessible): Yes
I have been treating patients with OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders for five years in private practice plus an additional 20 years as a school social worker. I have attended many workshops on OCD and BFRBs.
As I mentioned above, I have had years of training and experience working with diverse populations. I am quite comfortable working with just about anyone no matter what their race or cultural background. I always enjoy learning about individuals as we get to know each other and I am one who researches just about everything that comes my way. I welcome all people and do my best to help them be comfortable in treatment with me.
