My practice primarily focuses on the treatment of OCD and anxiety related disorders, with approximately 70–80% of my caseload consisting of individuals experiencing OCD, intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, health anxiety, panic, and related conditions. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults utilizing evidence based interventions including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have treated a significant number of individuals with OCD and co occurring conditions, including depression, trauma related symptoms, and generalized anxiety, through both telehealth and outpatient settings.
I utilize an individualized, evidence based approach when treating co occurring disorders, integrating ERP, ACT, CBT, and mindfulness based interventions. Treatment focuses on addressing overlapping symptoms such as OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma related symptoms, and substance use concerns while improving emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and daily functioning. Sessions include psychoeducation, coping skill development, exposure based interventions when appropriate, relapse prevention planning, and ongoing assessment of clinical progress. Collaboration with psychiatric providers, medical providers, and support systems is incorporated when clinically indicated to support continuity of care and comprehensive treatment.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, including several years specializing in OCD and anxiety related disorders in outpatient and telehealth settings. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), ACT, and CBT to treat OCD, intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, and related spectrum disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience treating contamination fears, harm obsessions, relationship OCD, health anxiety, and mental compulsions. In addition to my professional experience, I also have personal insight into the impact OCD can have on families through supporting a family member with OCD.
I have experience working with culturally diverse populations across a wide range of backgrounds, identities, family systems, and socioeconomic experiences. I strive to provide culturally responsive, affirming, and individualized care while recognizing the impact culture, stigma, religion, family dynamics, and systemic factors can have on mental health and treatment engagement. My approach emphasizes collaboration, respect, and adaptation of evidence based interventions to meet each member’s unique needs and values.
