Narrative of Services:

At the OC Anxiety Center we use empirically supported treatments tailored to each individual to help overcome OCD and related disorders. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on Exposure and Response Prevention, as applied to Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. We focus on brief treatment that is protocol driven with the average number of sessions being 15 across all disorders.
50% of our patients are receiving treatment OCD and related disorders, with Dr. Hsia having worked with more than 500 OCD patients over his career.

Training Description:

Dr. Curtis Hsia attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in psychology. He then attended Hofstra University, where he earned his doctoral degree in a combined clinical and school psychology program. He interned with Dr. Neziroglu and Dr. Yaryura-Tobias, both researching and treating OCD. Dr. Hsia wrote and presented several peer reviewed articles and learned the intricacies of cognitive behavioral therapy, and in particular, exposure and response prevention. He furthered his skills and training with Dr. David Barlow at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders as a postdoctoral fellow.
