Narrative of Services:

Sarah Husain is a registered clinical psychologist and school psychologist in Ontario, Canada. She has over 15 years of experience working with children, youth, and parents in various capacities. Sarah has provided psychological assessment and mental health services in public school boards, post-secondary institutions, community mental health agencies, and across several multi-disciplinary private practice settings in both Ontario and British Columbia. She currently provides assessment and treatment services at her private practice, CASE psychology, in Burlington, Ontario.

Training Description:

Sarah received intensive training in the treatment of pediatric OCD and related disorders at the Behaviour Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), and provides psychotherapy and treatment services for preschoolers, children, teens, and parents for a range of issues, including OCD and related disorders. Her OCD treatment approach is primarily focused on CBT, ACT and ERP. She further engages in training and supervision of practicum students and pre-licensed professionals providing OCD services, and provides consultation to her team of licensed mental health professionals to facilitate their competence in OCD treatment.

Sarah Husain was born in Trinidad and Tobago and is of South Asian descent. She has substantial experience working with individuals and families from diverse cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds.

Given her blended identity as a female, Caribbean/South-Asian, and Canadian, psychologist specializing in neurodiversity, Sarah is uniquely aware of the intersectionality of identity, and offers culturally competent, diversity affirming, client-centered care to all of her clients. As a parent of neurodiverse children, Sarah brings understanding and compassion to her work with families, often including caregivers in her holistic treatment plans.
